I am a postdoctoral fellow within the Urban Economics, History and Society unit. I obtained my PhD in Sociology at the Centre for Research on Social Inequalities (CRIS) at Sciences Po in Paris in November 2023. I am also affiliated to the Centre for Social Science Research at University of Cape Town (UCT).

I use both quantitative and qualitative methods and I am interested in different research topics across the urban spectrum and across the global North and South:

  • Urban segregation and neighbourhood inequality
  • Neighbourhood effects on educational and political outcomes across the life course
  • Smart cities and the reproduction of inequalities
  • Climate change and individual behaviours across cities and regions
  • Infrastructural deprivation or precarity
  • Urban-rural migration patterns

  • Re-development strategies for urban and non-urban areas
