Environment

The Paris School of Economics is a private non-profit research foundation. PSE develops economic research of the highest international level and brings together a community of 135 researchers and 166 PhD students. It unites universities and grandes écoles to foster exchanges between economics and other social sciences, disseminate their work to a wide audience, and develop multiple partnerships with public institutions and private organizations. The EU Tax Observatory, an internal laboratory of the Paris School of Economics, is dedicated to high level research on tax issues, with a particular focus on corporate tax evasion and fraud. The EU Tax Observatory is directed by Professor Gabriel Zucman and is hosted at the Paris School of Economics.

Position

The Administrative and Financial Assistant will work on the management of finances and administrative aspects of the laboratory within the General Management team.

Your main tasks will include:

Carrying out financial management tasks in connection with the accounting department:

  • Creation of mission orders for team and ensuring follow-up;
  • Sending purchases and invoice to accounting for payment;
  • Following up with accounting department;
  • Management and verification of invoices.

Performing secretarial tasks:

  • Archiving administrative documents;
  • Formatting documents;
  • Managing the delivery of orders.

Assisting with logistics in the day to day running of the lab:

  • Managing schedules and logistical aspects : rooms, equipment, catering, supplies for events;
  • Organizing meetings (reserving rooms, sending information, drafting minutes, etc.);
  • Event planning.

You will be part of an international, agile, and dynamic team, fully committed to the development and influence of the institution, and will work with people from all over PSE, notably researchers and the accounting, human resources, and partnerships departments.

Profile

A student in BTS or Professional Bachelor’s Degree (training in management, accounting, finance, or as an assistant manager…), you are looking for a 12 or 24-month apprenticeship, starting in September 2024.

You have a very good level of English (minimum B2). The working language is English. Rigorous and curious, you are organized, enjoy teamwork, and wish to invest in an ambitious project.
