Workshop in economics on
"Early childhood education and social inequalities"

Paris, 30-31 May, 2022

Call for Papers – Deadline: March 10, 2022

This workshop will provide a forum to present and discuss economic research on early childhood education in developing and developed countries, analyzing the cognitive and socio-emotional development of children until age 6, and considering the effects of a variety of interventions — parenting interventions, preschool programs, curricula reforms, parental leave policies – and their consequences on social inequalities.

The workshop will be a small, in-person event at PSE - Paris School of Economics and is open to faculty members, researchers and PhD students.

Orazio Attanasio (Yale University) will give the keynote lecture.

The workshop is organized by the research Chair "Education Policy and Social Mobility", a partnership between PSE, the Ardian Foundation and the DEPP (Direction de l’évaluation, de la prospective et de la performance) of the French Ministry for National Education, Youth and Sports.

The Chair "Education Policy and Social Mobility" can cover travel and accommodation expenses for the presenters of accepted papers.

The deadline for submissions is March 10, 2022.
Accepted presentations will be notified by April 1, 2022.
