Overview

The Bounded Rationality in Decisions and Games program presents topics in behavioral game theory, bounded rationality, and decision theory. Moving beyond the standard economic models of rational expectations and expected utility theory, this program examines alternative frameworks that provide deeper insights into complex and sometimes paradoxical economic phenomena. Participants will explore new solution concepts in game theory and decision-making, focusing on real-world applications.

Objective

The program aims to equip young scholars with advanced tools to analyze economic problems from a behavioral and boundedly rational perspective. Through a combination of lectures and workshops, participants will gain a thorough understanding of behavioral game theory and decision theory, allowing them to apply these concepts in their own research.

After completing the summer program, participants will specifically be able to work on:

Behavioral game theory concepts and decision theory
Applying bounded rationality to economic modeling
Analyzing strategy restrictions in games
