PSE Stone Center on Global Wealth Dynamics

The PSE Stone Center on Global Wealth Dynamics aims to contribute to the improvement of knowledge on the accumulation and distribution of global wealth. To achieve this, it supports research and train future generations of researchers working in this field.

The James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Center on Global Wealth Dynamics at the Paris School of Economics is the result of the meeting between the James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Foundation and the Paris School of Economics.

Objectives

The PSE Stone Center has two main objectives:

  • contribute to improving knowledge on the accumulation and distribution of global wealth;
  • train the next generation of inequality researchers. For this purpose, it accompanies pre-PhD students, doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows.

Activities

The Center works closely with the World Inequality Lab and the European Tax Observatory, the two main research laboratories on the global wealth of PSE.

Several activities are on the agenda at the Center:

  • co-production of research papers;
  • provision of scholarships, grants for research projects and support for the acquisition and digitization of data for predoc, PhD and postdoctoral students;
  • organization of joint events;
  • cooperation in recruitment;
  • sharing of administrative resources.
