The Education Policy and Social Mobility Chair was created by the Fondation Ardian, the Direction de l’évaluation, de la prospective et de la performance and the Paris School of Economics.
The aim of the Education Policy and Social Mobility Chair is to improve the level of education of the most disadvantaged populations by identifying the most effective levers. It also aims to provide a forum for exchanges between research and action. Through original and rigorous research, our scientific teams aim to contribute to meeting the challenge of a more effective and innovative education policy, taking into account new technologies.

The Ardian Foundation was launched in 2010 on the initiative of employees of Ardian, one of the world’s leading private equity firms. Under the aegis of the Fondation de France, it works to promote the social mobility and inclusion of children, teenagers and young adults from modest backgrounds.
The Foundation is active in the following fields
The Direction de l’évaluation, de la prospective et de la performance is responsible for evaluating and measuring performance in the fields of education and training. It contributes to the evaluation of policies conducted by the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports. One of its missions is to coordinate educational research.
