The World Inequality Lab (WIL) is a research laboratory focused on the study of inequality worldwide.

Presentation

For almost ten years, the WIL has been producing and promoting research on the various dimensions of inequality, both between and within countries, in order to inform the public debate. The WIL hosts the World Inequality Database (WID), the most extensive open-access public database on the historical evolution of economic inequality. Based primarily at the Paris School of Economics, a team of thematic and regional coordinators works to regularly update the database in collaboration with an international network of over 200 affiliated researchers.
